Hey all,
Today's journal will be a little more philosophical than usual, due to the matter of life and death that have surrounded me this week.
Firstly, my 19th birthday was on Wednesday 29th April, and although I'm a year older, I don't relly feel any different. I know I'm not really supposed to, but the novelty of brithdays has long gone. The good thing about it is that the money people gave me went towards buying this sexy new laptop! Yay! Much faster than before, but slightly more annoying to use. I'll figure it out.
OK, the death part - i.e. putting a guinea pig to sleep. I can't say I'm good or bad with death as I never really experienced it personally. I did have an uncle who died, and that didn't faze me at all, but this guinea pig thing shook me up. I suppose having close contact with an animal for 5 years does that. But I'm OK now - part of being mature and wisened is to understand that things happen for a reason, and death can be a release from a life of pain.
Now I've got that out of the way, I would like to share my new life aspiration with you - I intend to be the next Timbaland. Yes, you read that right - the "eh, eh, eh" guy who produces music for so many artists these days. I recently purchased (well, officially, anyway) a program called Mixcraft 4. Even with my little skill for making music doesn't matter, because this programis amazing. You can pretty much make any instrumental track you want with it. Recently, I found that I despise the fact I can't write songs without abacking track as framework, and so I thought I'd try to make some of my own. I've not perfected it yet, but it's coming along. I may share the final result with you when I'm happy with it.
And finally, I would like to let you know that I am still writing my sci-fi prologue chapter, albeit from scratch as my old laptop has been deemed 'irrepairable' and I'm not paying £50 to get all my files off there. Not worth it at all.
*warcry*
